Flat-Pack Ash Woodgrain Kitchen — 600 mm Modules Priced by the Meter

Sixteen module widths, one 720 mm carcase, 0.58 m3 of cartons per three-meter run

A kitchen program is a carcass program. This range is built from 18 mm E1 melamine-faced board on a 720 mm carcase height and a 560 mm base depth, in sixteen module widths from 150 to 1000 mm, all drilled from one CNC program so hinge cups and shelf holes line up unit to unit. Doors are flat slabs in an ash woodgrain decor with a matching 1 mm ABS edge — the grain and the edge colour come from the same supplier batch, so a repeat order does not arrive visibly two-tone. It ships flat only: a three-meter run packs into eight cartons at 0.58 m3, which is the number that decides the freight per meter.

Why Buyers Choose This Model

  • Sixteen module widths from 150 to 1000 mm on one 720 mm carcase height and 560 mm base depth, so a run is planned in 600 mm bays and filled with off-size units
  • 18 mm E1 melamine-faced chipboard with a 1 mm ABS edge on all four sides of every door and panel — the edge is the first part to fail in a rental kitchen, so it is the part we do not economize on
  • Flat-pack only: a three-meter run of five base and three wall units ships in eight cartons at 0.58 m3, which puts about 110 runs — roughly 330 linear meters — into a 40HQ
  • Cam-and-dowel plus Minifix connectors, so a unit assembles with a screwdriver and an 8 mm bit in about 12 minutes and can be taken apart again for a second fit
  • DTC soft-close hinges and full-extension ball-bearing runners, cycled to 50,000 movements; drawer boxes are 16 mm MFC with a 1 mm edge, not stapled hardboard
  • Quoted by the linear meter and split across carcass, door, hardware and plinth lines, so an upgrade from a flat door to a routed J-profile moves one line and not the whole price
  • Ash woodgrain is a stock decor with a colour-matched ABS edge, so a repeat order in the same decor does not drift between print batches the way a bespoke laminate does
  • Every panel is drilled from one program, holding hinge cups at 22.5 mm from the door edge on all units, so a 200-unit order does not get re-drilled on site

Specification Questions Buyers Ask

What does a per-meter price include, and what sits outside it?
The meter price covers carcass, doors, hardware and plinth for the module mix in the cutting list. Worktops, sinks, tapware, appliances, end panels and fillers are quoted as separate lines, because they change with the appliance schedule far more than the carcass does. Splitting the price this way lets a distributor compare two suppliers on the same module mix instead of on a headline figure that hides a different specification.
Do UK fitters accept flat-pack, or do they expect rigid units?
Both are normal in the UK trade, and flat-pack is the default for stock and for online kitchen retail. The relevant question is assembly time and repeatability, not the principle: with cam-and-dowel and pre-drilled 32 mm holes a base unit goes together in about 12 minutes, and a fitter who has assembled one unit has assembled all of them. For contract work where site labour is already booked, we quote the same carcass rigid-built on request.
Can you build to a 720 mm carcase and a 560 mm base depth?
Yes — that is the standard build for the UK and Irish market, with 600 mm bays and 100 mm plinth as the default. Carcase height, base depth and plinth height are fixed at the tooling stage, so they are confirmed once per program rather than per order; module widths inside that carcase can be mixed freely from 150 to 1000 mm.
What test evidence can you send before we place an order?
We can send the BS 6222-2 carcass test report from the testing body, the E1 board certificate from the panel producer with the batch reference, and the hardware cycle data from DTC. Where a project specifies FIRA testing or a specific door and drawer cycle count, tell us at RFQ stage — the sample build is agreed before the MOQ run, not after.
Can a container mix kitchens, vanities and mirror cabinets?
Yes, and for a distributor it is usually the cheaper way to ship. Flat-pack kitchens are dense and cube-limited, mirror cabinets are light, and melamine vanities sit between the two, so a mixed 40HQ fills the volume without hitting the weight limit. One container also means one set of export documents and one customs entry instead of three.
