RTA Kitchen Cabinets in Graphite Linen Super-Matte, Built for Flat-Pack Freight

A ten-metre run in 14 cartons at 1.65 m3 — about 400 linear metres to a 40HQ, worktop deliberately excluded

This is a kitchen sold by the linear metre and the cubic metre. Base units are 600 x 560 x 720 mm, wall units 600 x 320 x 720 mm, and a 600 x 560 x 2100 mm pantry, all cut from the same 18 mm HMR particle board with melamine on both faces, 1 mm ABS edging and graphite linen super-matte fronts at about 5 gloss units. Assembly is Minifix cam-and-dowel with housings pre-inserted, so a dealer builds a run with a screwdriver and a mallet. A ten-metre run packs to 1.65 m3 in 14 cartons at 210 kg gross, which puts about 400 linear metres in a 40HQ. Worktops are quoted separately and cut locally.

Why Buyers Choose This Model

  • Base 600 x 560 x 720 mm, wall 600 x 320 x 720 mm and a 600 x 560 x 2100 mm pantry share one 18 mm board and one drilling pattern, so a module added later still lines up
  • 18 mm HMR particle board with melamine on both faces and 1 mm ABS on all four edges — the edge band, not the board, is what fails first in a humid kitchen
  • Minifix cam-and-dowel assembly with housings pre-inserted at the factory, so a ten-metre run builds in about four hours with hand tools
  • Graphite linen super-matte melamine at about 5 gloss units: a texture that reads as lacquer at a metre and does not hold finger marks the way a flat matte foil does
  • DTC 110 degree soft-close hinges rated to 50,000 cycles and 35 kg full-extension runners on the drawer boxes
  • Fourteen cartons per ten-metre run at 1.65 m3 and 210 kg gross, which is about 400 linear metres per 40HQ at roughly 68 m3 of usable cube
  • Worktop is a separate line and deliberately not in the carton: shipping a carcass-only run avoids a fragile freight class and lets the dealer cut local stone or laminate to the actual wall
  • Every carton carries module code, room position and a QR to the assembly drawing — the information a Brazilian dealer needs when the fitter is not the person who placed the order

Specification Questions Buyers Ask

What does an RTA kitchen actually cost per linear metre?
Price is quoted per linear metre of run at a stated module mix, not per cabinet, because the mix moves the number more than the finish does. A run with a tall pantry and four drawers per base costs more per metre than a run of door-only bases, so any comparison has to be made on the same mix. Ask for a quotation with the module list attached — a per-metre figure without the module list is not comparable between suppliers.
How does 400 linear metres per 40HQ compare with assembled frames?
An assembled frame with doors and shelves takes roughly 0.42 m3 per metre of base run against 0.165 m3 flat-packed, so the same container carries about two and a half times the run. The trade is assembly time: a ten-metre run is about four hours for one fitter with a screwdriver, a mallet and the drawing. In a market where the container is the dominant cost line, that trade is almost always worth taking.
Is 18 mm HMR board enough for a Brazilian kitchen?
Yes for the carcass, provided the edges are banded and the worktop is sealed. HMR board is specified for the core, not as a waterproof material: what destroys a carcass in a humid kitchen is water entering a cut edge or a sink cut-out. This run uses 1 mm ABS on every exposed edge, a rebated 5 mm back, and a clip-on toe kick that keeps the base off a wet floor. Under a sink, the dealer should seal the service cut-outs on site.
What happens if one carton arrives damaged?
Cartons are separately labelled by module, so a damaged carton is replaced as a module rather than as a kitchen. For a first order we recommend photographing the container at devanning, before the cartons are opened, because that is the evidence a claim needs. Replacement modules ship with the next consolidated container from Ningbo or Shanghai; there is no need to hold a full run for one base unit.
Can the module mix change from order to order?
Yes, within the same board, edge band and drilling program. Widths run from 300 to 900 mm in 100 mm steps, and drawer, door and open-shelf configurations are set by the drilling pattern rather than by new tooling. What does not change is the 560 mm base depth and the 320 mm wall depth, because those two dimensions set the worktop and the hinge line for the whole run.
